McIntosh Apple
McIntosh Apple

Etymology

From the Old English "aeppel." Adam bit into the apple and, to this day, paradise has not existed upon earth. It is the tree of evil.

Description
The squat apple tree is covered with hundreds of little white umbellate flowers in the spring which bring forth heavy, fleshy fruit whose texture, colour and shape differ according to species.

Where there are apple trees there must also be beehives, since the apple blossoms must be pollinated if they are to bring forth the juicy delicious fruit that we enjoy in the fall.

Maturity
mid-September

Storing
4 months at 0 degrees C
